Last week marked the start of an important journey for European education.

The AI Ready Schools project officially kicked off in Leuven, Belgium, where schools and AI education experts from Greece, Spain, and Belgium came together to launch this inspiring collaboration.

What is AI Ready Schools? An Erasmus+ initiative designed to prepare secondary schools for the digital future by equipping the educational community with the knowledge and skills to understand and use Artificial Intelligence (AI) effectively. Being AI Ready isn’t just about knowing AI—it’s about making informed decisions, understanding its potential, and using it ethically to meet the unique needs of schools, teachers, and students

Our Mission: Enhance AI literacy in education and empower schools, teachers, and students to harness AI responsibly, balancing innovation with human-centric values. Over the next three years, we will equip educators with practical AI literacy and pedagogical skills, evelop ready-to-use educational resources for classrooms, foster critical thinking about AI’s role in society and create a network of AI-ready schools across Europe.

AI Ready Schools is more than teaching technology—it’s about empowering the next generation to navigate, understand, and shape an AI-driven world confidently and ethically.
